Briar Chapel Neighborhood Tour
As the largest green community in the Triangle, Briar Chapel has set the bar for smart development in North Carolina. Homes are built using the latest in green technologies, such as conditioned crawl spaces and low VOC building products, that are energy efficient and healthier for you and for the environment.
All builders are required to follow strict new-home construction requirements, which are independently tested by the National Green Building Program (NAHBGreen).
Homes are sited on smaller lots, many with southern exposure, with large expanses of preserved space for all its residents to enjoy and use. Homeowners can explore 900 acres of preserved space that have been set aside for recreation.
Walk, hike, or bike along 24 miles of trails that run through the community, or play in one of 10 unique neighborhood parks or at the community salt water pool located just behind the clubhouse.
Still in development, new sections of the neighborhood are evolving each year. The homes are distinctive, many with front porches and rear loading garages that create pleasing streetscapes reminiscent of communities built in the 1930’s. Many homes have front porches in front and screened porches in the rear, providing pleasant outdoor living areas.
A commercial area is currently being developed, bringing shops, restaurants, and more to the neighborhood.
Woods Charter School is also located within Briar Chapel, and a new Montessori School is slated to be built.
Only ten minutes from downtown Chapel Hill and UNC, and convenient to Research Triangle Park, Briar Chapel is one of the newest and most popular neighborhoods in the Triangle NC area.
